3 killed within an hour on city's east side

Victims' names not released

INDIANAPOLIS - Three men were shot and killed on the city’s east side within an hour late Friday evening.

The first incident happened on North 11th and Ewing streets just after 10:30 p.m., officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

Authorities found the victim, Joshua Luecking, 39, of Indianapolis, inside the home. He had been shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

About an hour later, two men were fatally shot in the 9200 block of Beechtree Court, near East 38th Street and North Post Road.  Both victims were found in a car and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victims of the Beechtree Court shooting as 21-year-old Terry Hunter and 19-year-old Romello Carney, both of Indianapolis.
