INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police were called to reports of a person shot multiple times on the west side Monday night.
The shooting happened around 8:00 p.m. on the 1400 block of Panama Avenue. The area is just north of the Indianapolis International Airport.
Emergency dispatchers said one victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
A woman found unresponsive at the scene thought to be a second shooting victim was determined to have suffered a drug overdose. Police said she was expected to survive.
No other information was immediately available.
