INDIANAPOLIS - Police were investigating after a person was shot and killed near a gas station on the city’s northeast side Friday night.
The incident happened near East 46th Street and North Arlington Avenue around 9:45 p.m.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found the victim lying in a nearby yard suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was identified as 23-year-old Michael Boyd of Indianapolis.
Police said Boyd was a customer at the Shell gas station. He might have been involved in an argument with another person, authorities said.
An unidentified male suspect was last seen leaving the area after the shooting in a late-model white Chevrolet Trailblazer that might have damage on one of the rear doors, police said.
