Pet store clerk avoids injury in crash

Driver, animals also uninjured

MARION, Ind. - A pet store clerk narrowly escaped injury when a driver crashed through the front of the store.

A car barreled through the front of Picture Perfect Pet Center at 2233 Westwood Square in Marion just after 3 p.m. Friday.

The store clerk said she stepped away from the counter just two seconds before the impact, and she believes she would have been killed if she had still be standing there.

Witnesses said the driver, an elderly woman, was uninjured, but she seemed incoherent at the scene.

Marion Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

No animals were injured in the crash.
