INDIANAPOLIS -- As the school year comes to a close, one Pike Township school is celebrating a special honor.
The red carpet was literally rolled out for students Wednesday morning as they arrived at Central Elementary School. Central is a finalist in the Institute for Quality Education's initiative, called "Quality Matters."
Teachers and staff stood along the red carpet, cheering for students as they arrived to school.
Nearly 100 schools in Indiana were nominated for the initiative, designed to identify and reward schools working to provide students with a quality education.
