Plane possibly bound for Indianapolis Regional Airport makes unexpected landing in Madison Co.

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. - A small plane possibly headed to the Indianapolis Regional Airport Wednesday went down unexpectedly in Madison County.

The incident was reported just before 9 a.m. just south of Ingalls, dispatchers said.

The Madison County Sherriff's Department said that the passengers inside were able to get out of the plane. Officials did not say if there were any injuries.

The cause of the incident remained under investigation.
