INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -
Police said the search for an armed robbery suspect led them on a lengthy chase early Monday around the city’s near south side.
Investigators said the robbery happened around 2:30 a.m. inside a home on Kelly Street near the intersection of South Keystone and Raymond avenues.
Shortly after the home invasion was reported, police said they spotted a man matching the suspect’s description walking down the street. The officer tried to stop the man, but he took off running, igniting a chase that involved more than a dozen officers.
Nearly an hour later, detectives said they found the suspect hiding behind a home on South Keystone Avenue.
He was taken into custody, but police did not release his identity or any possible charges he faced.
