GREENWOOD, Ind. - State police investigators suspect a man might have had a medical condition that caused him to go onto Interstate 65 in suburban Indianapolis where he died after being hit by two vehicles.
Authorities say 22-year-old Orlando Torres-Lugo of Indianapolis was killed when he was struck about 3 a.m. Monday while lying down in the highway's southbound lanes near the Greenwood exit.
Sgt. Rich Myers says no evidence was found that Torres-Lugo was hit earlier by another vehicle. Police also didn't find any disabled vehicles in the area indicating that he might have been walking for assistance.
