Police identify, still seek man wanted for questioning in Sept. 30 homicide, fire

INDIANAPOLIS - Police have identified a man wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide and fire, but they are still trying to find him.

Police want to interview Rodney Lovett, 24, about the Sept. 30 homicide and house fire at 3921 Chateau Drive that left Bryant Steele, 27, dead.

Firefighters responded to the home, near 38th Street and Post Road, just before 7 a.m. and found the home on fire.

When firefighters went into the home, they found Steele dead inside.

In the week following the blaze, police determined Steele was a victim of homicide.

Anyone with information regarding Lovett’s whereabouts is asked to call IMPD Homicide at 317-327-3475 or Sergeant Mark Prater at 317-327-3481.
