INDIANAPOLIS - Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a car.
Metro police responded to the English Village Apartment complex near South Franklin Road and East English Avenue Monday night on reports of a deceased person.
Police said the man had been shot in the head, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The man was later identified as Nishant Patel, 31, of Indianapolis.
Investigators reported getting conflicting information about why the man was in the complex, and they said they believe he was not a resident of the neighborhood.
Police said Patel had gone to the complex to visit someone, and when he didn't return home his brother started searching for him.
