INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police are investigating after a man was found fatally shot in an apartment on the city's northeast side.
Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, officers were flagged down by a woman in the 4000 block of Stratford Court, near 42nd Street and Post Road.
The woman said she believed there was a man dead in a vacant apartment.
When police went inside, they found the man dead, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Police said they do not believe the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
Homicide detectives were at the scene Wednesday.
