INDIANAPOLIS -- Police say a woman admitted to fatally shooting her ex-boyfriend at a home on Indianapolis' west side early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the scene on Luett Avenue near W. Michigan Road and Holt Road just after 5 a.m. after a woman called 911 and told dispatchers that she had shot her ex-boyfriend.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene say they found an unresponsive man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence. Jerry Etheridge, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the woman voluntarily went with officers to IMPD headquarters for an interview. No arrests have been made.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
