INDIANAPOLIS - Officials are investigating after a woman was shot in a home Thursday evening.
Metro police were dispatched to the 3600 block of North Lasalle Street on a report that a person had been shot.
Arriving officers found a woman with a gunshot wound on the porch of the home.
The woman died from her wounds and medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The woman's identity has not been released.
Homicide detectives are on the scene.
Several individuals were taken in for questioning, but police said no arrests have been made yet.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
