INDIANAPOLIS -- A 10-year-old boy was found shot to death in Indianapolis Sunday evening.

The boy was found inside his own house near the intersection of Vermont and Gale streets around 7 p.m.

The Marion County Coroner's Officer said the boy's name is Noah Sarver.

A representative with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting was "likely accidental."

Police say the Noah's 9-year-old cousin was there when the shooting happened. Neighbors say he was playing with his cousin outside in the street just minutes before the gun went off.

They will trace the gun to try and figure out where it came from.

There have been no arrests and the shooting remains under investigation.

Sarver was a student of Indianapolis Public Schools, and attended Wendell Phillips School 63.

IPS Spokeswoman Kristin Cutler says support services, including crisis counselors, were at his school Monday. They'll continue to provide grief support for anyone who knew him this week.
