FISHERS, Ind. - Officials with the Fishers Department of Fire and Emergency Services said that a semi-tractor-trailer jackknifed and was discovered to have leaked fuel.
The semi stopped on southbound Interstate 69 near the 203 mile marker.
After inspection, the trailer was found to have a steady leak of diesel fuel coming from the saddle tank of the vehicle, police said.
Six units were originally dispatched, but were downgraded to four units soon after additional information was received about the spill.
Officials said the leak was under control in approximately 35 minutes.
Police said no injuries were reported and a large commercial wrecker was called to remove the semi.
Fire crews will remain on the scene until the roadway is clear for normal flow of traffic.
