INDIANAPOLIS - Detectives have arrested yet another man who has been linked to a recent home break-in. Investigators are saying they think two recent home robberies in which they've arrested suspects might be related.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said Saturday night, detectives jailed Demetre Brown, 21, of Indianapolis. Officers said he was preliminarily charged with robbery and criminal confinement in connection with the Oct. 24 robbery in the 7000 block of Spring Mill Road near Meridian Hills Country Club.
IMPD said his mugshot is unavailable as the case is still an active investigation.
“Releasing photos of this suspects or other suspects related to this incident or the East 79th Street incident could jeopardize these cases,” IMPD Lt. Christopher Bailey said.
Officers also recently arrested two men who are suspected of breaking into a home on East 79th Street last week and robbing the residents, plus raping and sexually assaulting two women. IMPD told RTV6 there could be a connection between Brown and the arrests of Alexander Dupree, 23, and Trae Spells, 18. Detectives believe the two robberies might be related.
Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
