Police led on 120 mph chase from Hendricks Co. to Speedway

PD: Suspect had marijuana, meth, gun

INDIANAPOLIS - Brownsburg Police were led on a chase that reached speeds up to 120 mph Wednesday morning, officials said.

Police said they pulled over 31-year-old Herman McHenry III, of Davenport, Iowa, on Interstate 74 in Hendricks County for a traffic violation.

After authorities put him in a squad car, police said he jumped out of the vehicle, struggled with officers and got back in his own car and took off.

During the chase, he struck a school bus, but nobody was injured, officials said.

The chase ended near 32nd Street and High School Road when McHenry left the car and began running.

Authorities found two pounds of marijuana, a pound of crystal meth and a submachine gun in his backpack.
