A man is accused of having sex with a teen girl on several occasions, police said.
Francisco Alacala, 57, was taken into custody early Tuesday on charges involving sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old girl, Indianapolis Metro Police Department sex crimes detectives said.
Detectives said the girl's father found a cellphone he didn't know she owned and discovered "questionable text messages with an unknown male."
According to the police report, the girl admitted to her parents that Alacala gave her the cellphone and that he lived a few blocks away from the family.
The girl's father contacted IMPD and she later admitted to having sex with Alacala on more than one occasion, detectives said.
Police said Alcala faces multiple charges of sexual misconduct with a minor and child molesting.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
