INDIANAPOLIS - Police have made an arrest in a fatal hit-and-run that left a pedestrian dead.
Metro police were called to the 7400 block of North Shadeland Avenue early Saturday morning, where they found a deceased white male on the ground near the road.
The victim was later identified as Alex Trabert, 23.
Investigators said it appears Trabert was walking on the west side of Shadeland Avenue when he was struck.
Investigators have arrested Morgan Mannix, 23, in connection with the incident.
Mannix was driving the 2011 black Toyota Camry that struck Trabert, police said.
Mannix is being held on a preliminary charge of failing to stop after an accident causing death.
