REYNOLDS, Ind. - Police said a Reynolds man made false reports to authorities about being stabbed twice in one weekend.

White County emergency officials said they received a call just after 1 a.m. Monday on reports of a stabbing at a Reynolds home. Officials said they received a similar call from a man at the same residence early Friday.

After emergency crews arrived at the home, they found a man with cuts on his stomach.  He was taken to IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello for treatment.

Police said during questioning, the man admitted to deputies that he fabricated both incidents, but authorities did not release his motive.

Police said they have forwarded the case to the White County Prosecutor’s office for possible charges.
