Police: Man robs Village Pantry store with large tree branch

KOKOMO, Ind. - A man was arrested after holding up a convenience store with a tree branch, police said.
Michael T. Wilson, 34 of Kokomo, is facing a robbery charge after using a large tree branch to hold up a Village Pantry, according to police.
The clerk told police Wilson entered the store with a tree branch, walked behind the counter and made the clerk open the cash register.
Police said Wilson fled the store with cash and cigarettes.
Wilson is being held without bond at the Howard County jail.
No injuries were reported.
