CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. - A man was arrested and a woman was sent to the hospital after a disagreement about a bed, police said.
Elmer D. Guinn, 63, faces felony charges of battery with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and intimidation with a deadly weapon after reportedly stabbing 20-year-old Jessica Boyd.
Officers responded to Guinn's home in Carroll County just after 11 p.m. Thursday, where they found Boyd with a stab wound to the leg, police said.
Police said the stabbing happened after Boyd refused to get out of Guinn's bed when he wanted to go to sleep.
Police told RTV6 that Boyd and Guinn have "no apparent relationship." It is unclear why Boyd, whose address is unknown, was in Guinn's bed.
Boyd was treated at the hospital for her non-life-threatening wound and released.
Guinn is being held at the Carroll County Jail on $50,000 bond.
