VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana State Police accused a woman of driving under the influence of alcohol while her two children were in the car early Sunday.
Just after midnight, an ISP trooper stopped a 2000 Pontiac driving left of center on Red Bank Road in Vanderburgh County.
Police said the driver, identified as Charlotte Kelley, 39, of Evansville, smelled of alcohol during the traffic stop and that her 11-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter were in the car at the time.
Investigators said that Kelley's blood alcohol content was .17 percent, more than twice the legal limit of .08.
She was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where she is being held without bond.
