NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- A Noblesville man was arrested after breaking into cars and running from authorities, police say.

Just after midnight on Saturday, police responded to calls of a person breaking into vehicles in the 900 block of Maple Avenue.

Information from the caller suggested the suspect was trying to open doors in parked vehicles. He was described as a 6-foot-tall man, weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a red/orange hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a ball cap.

Police found a man matching that description nearby. Police say he was partially inside a vehicle when they found him. When police tried to make contact, he ran.

He was caught by police after a short chase.

The suspect was later identified as Justin Hadley, 18.

Hadley had to be hospitalized for injuries sustained during the arrest process, police say. He now faces preliminary charges of theft (three counts), unlawful entry into vehicle (three counts), resisting law enforcement and illegal consumption of alcohol.
