GREENWOOD, Ind. -
A local police officer who got in trouble for a confrontation outside of a restaurant is now off the job.
Greenwood Police said Nicholas Dine resigned Monday for personal reasons.
Dine made headlines two years ago for allegedly leaving his baby alone in his car in an Applebee's parking lot and getting into a quarrel with a witness who confronted him over it.
The merit board had suspended him this past year for 30 days and ordered him into treatment for alcohol abuse.
