INDIANAPOLIS - Police have identified the man who was shot and killed on the city’s northeast side Friday evening.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the scene just before 9 p.m. near 21st Street and Catherwood Avenue.
Several people called police to report a man had been shot and was lying in the street.
When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as Michael Henderson, 20, of Indianapolis, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, IMPD said.
Medics arrived on the scene a short while later and pronounced Henderson dead.
Detectives said they are continuing to investigate several leads in this case but are not yet ready to release any suspect information.
