ANDERSON - Police responded to a report of a suspicious device near Anderson Saturday afternoon.
Traffic was closed in the areas near Alexandria Pike and County Road 360 North and area residents were alerted to the situation.
Police said the Delaware County Bomb Team inspected the device and neutralized it before turning it over to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities inspected the area but did not find other devices or items of interest, police said.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
