Police search for 2 armed men after 3 north side robberies

Men could be armed, police say

INDIANAPOLIS - Police searched for two men that crashed into a home during a chase, possibly in connection with several robberies that happened on the city's north side early Tuesday.

Officers were called to a Speedway gas station near 61st Street and Allisonville Road after a clerk was robbed of cash and cigarettes.

Detectives said just after 3:30 a.m., Hamilton County 911 dispatchers got a call from the Village Pantry gas station near 96th Street and Lantern Road. A woman working in the store said two men robbed the gas station and fled on foot.

About 5:30 a.m., police set up a perimeter in the 4200 block of Forest Manor Avenue after a car crashed into a home.

After crashing the car, police say two men inside jumped out and ran away from police.

"These two gentlemen are very dangerous. They are armed and so we do want to get them off the street as quickly as possible," said Officer Tom Weger with the Fishers Police Department.

Detectives said they searched the area surrounding the neighborhood for two men, approximately 6 feet tall and possibly armed.

Police said these suspects could also be the men responsible for holding up an Indianapolis Shell gas station last weekend.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-272-TIPS.
