Police search for armed suspects in Speedway gas station robbery near 86th St. and Ditch Rd.

Suspects were wearing ski masks, police say

INDIANAPOLIS - Police are searching for two men after an armed robbery was reported at a Speedway gas station on the city's north side early Friday.

The robbery happened about 3:30 a.m. near 86th Street and Ditch Road when two men entered the store and demanded cash.  The men reportedly held the cashier at gunpoint and ordered customers to get down on the ground. The men were last seen running out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Few details were released about the men, but police said they were wearing ski masks.
The cashier and customers were not injured, police said.

Police said a similar robbery was reported about the same time at a Speedway in Greenwood. Investigators did not say if the two robberies were related.
