INDIANAPOLIS - A shooting sent a man to the hospital Tuesday morning and launched a search for the shooter, police confirmed.
Indianapolis police (IMPD) said sometime after 5:30 a.m., a man was found shot in the 3500 block of Olney Street on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
That man was taken to Eskenazi Health, and we're told he was stable as he was being transported. Police said the man was shot in the thigh as he was walking along the road.
Police said they were searching the area for the shooter, who was reportedly in a red car when the shots were fired.
