INDIANAPOLIS - Police were searching for a suspect accused of robbing and shooting a man to death in July.
Octavio Gonzalez, 24, faces murder and robbery charges in the death of 31-year-old Dexter Smith, officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Smith was found dead in his home in the 1800 block of Heather Court on July 12.
Police said the killing was most likely not a random act and Gonzalez may have fled to Atlanta after the crime.
