Police seek help identifying robbery suspect

INDIANAPOLIS -- Investigators are hoping the public can help identify a man believed to be involved in a bank robbery on the city's west side Saturday. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of West 10th Street for a report of a robbery at the Credit Union 1 at 10:11 a.m. 

Witnesses told police a black man entered the bank and approached the teller counter demanding money. The suspect ran in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described as 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, 25 to 30 years old, wearing sunglasses, dark colored pants, a brown or black coat and a dark colored winter hat. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 317-595-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
