Store clerk: Man said robbery 'not worth it'

INDIANAPOLIS - Police are looking for a man who initiated a robbery at a Village Pantry then told the clerk, "It's just not worth it," before leaving empty-handed.

Police said the man entered the Village Pantry in the 3300 block of West Michigan Street shortly after 1 p.m. last Thursday, demanded money at the counter and implied he had a weapon, but when the clerk turned to walk into the store's office, the suspect left.

The man was wearing aviator sunglasses, a dark brown Carhartt coat over a black hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and dark tennis shoes with white stripes on the side.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
