Police seek suspect who robbed Shelbyville gas station

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. - Shelby County authorities were looking for a suspect who witnesses said robbed a gas station on North Harrison Street on Saturday night.

The Shelbyville Police Department responded to a call at Marathon-Shelbyville Food Plaza in the 200 block of North Harrison Street just after 9 p.m.

Officials said the male suspect displayed a weapon during the incident.

An official confirmed that police did call for SWAT support and K-9 units to assist in the investigation.

The suspect is described as standing 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall and has a medium build.

A victim was unable to provide information about eye or hair color. The victim said the suspect had bright shoestrings, possibly red or orange.
