TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - State police say a two-month long investigation into child pornography has led to the arrest of a Vigo County Sheriff's deputy who was arrested Friday on allegations related to child pornography, Indiana State Police have confirmed to the Tribune-Star.

State police Sgt. Joe Watts told the Tribune-Star that the deputy, who he declined to identify, was arrested Friday. Watts said the U.S. attorney has taken over the case and a news conference is expected to be held Monday.

He says the deputy remains incarcerated.
