INDIANAPOLIS - Police are investigating reports that a woman repeatedly stole meat from an Indianapolis Kroger store.
The manager and security guard at the Kroger store in the 500 block of East 16th Street told police a woman came into the store four times over a 12-hour period on Sunday, stealing more than $600 worth of various meats.
The store personnel said each of the four times, the woman brought in a large, empty purse, walked to the meat counter and left with a full purse without stopping to pay.
No arrests have been made, but police have identified the 51-year-old woman based on the 2003 white Ford Escape she was in.
The store intends to prosecute, the police report said.
