Police: Woman fatally shot in the chest after answering door of her home

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. - A southern Indiana woman was fatally shot in the chest early Monday after answering the door of her home.
Police said the shooting happened about 5 a.m. in the 600 block of West Kenwood Avenue in Clarksville when someone banged on the door of the home.
When the woman answered the door, she was shot in the chest, police said.
The woman was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital where she later died. Her name was not immediately released.
Police said they have a suspect in custody, and that the victim and the suspect knew each other.
