BREMEN, Ind. - Police said a single-vehicle accident on State Road 17 claimed the life of a Culver woman.
Indiana State Police responded to the crash just west of Quince Road near Plymouth after 1 p.m. Saturday.
The driver of the vehicle, Ralph Ward II, 44 of Culver, was traveling eastbound on SR 17 when he lost control on the snow-covered road, a media release said.
Police said the vehicle spun out of control and slid off the north side of SR 17, striking a utility pole on the passenger side rear door.
Ralph Ward was not injured, but his front seat passenger, Caroline Ward, 70, of Culver, sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.
Police said the rear seat passenger, Linda Ward, 46, of Culver, was killed in the crash.
She sustained a severe head injury in the accident and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth where she was pronounced dead, the media release said.
