INDIANAPOLIS - Someone is about to let $1 million slip away from their fingers.
The Hoosier Lottery said Monday that a Powerball ticket worth $1 million that was sold in Indiana will soon expire.
The ticket was sold on April 10 at a Circle K convenience store at 3830 Hamburg Pike in Jeffersonville, right across the Ohio River from Louisville.
The ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball. The ticket and the prize associated with it will expire Oct. 7.
The winning numbers in that drawing were 1-36-40-52-53, with a Powerball of 20.
The ticket officially expires at 5 p.m. next Monday.
The ticketholder must present the ticket to officials at Hoosier Lottery headquarters at 1302 N. Meridian St.
Powerball prizes must be claimed in the state in which they were purchased.
