GREENFIELD, Ind. -- A Greenfield man accused of murdering his infant daughter may be preparing an insanity defense, according to documents filed in Hancock County Superior Court.
Matthew Wagoner, 31, and his wife Jessica Wagoner, 32, are charged with murder and child neglect in the death of their 1-year-old daughter Zoey Lee Wagoner.

Emergency crews were called to Jessica Wagoner's home in May on a report that Zoey had fallen off a bed and wasn't breathing.
An autopsy later showed the infant had multiple blunt force injuries inside and outside of her body, and healing breaks to bones in both of her arms.
The pathologist who performed the autopsy told police Zoey's injuries were consistent with someone "stomping" on her.
On Friday, an official from Hancock County Superior Court 1 said that Matthew Wagoner's defense team had requested and been granted an order for a psychological evaluation on Wagoner.
Such evaluations are typically requested to determine whether a defendant is competent to stand trial.
Wagoner entered a "not guilty" plea on Tuesday.
A jury trial is scheduled for October.
