Regional jet bound for Philadelphia makes emergency landing at Indianapolis International Airport

INDIANAPOLIS - A regional jet bound for Philadelphia made an emergency landing in Indianapolis on Wednesday, airport officials said.

The crews of the Embraer 170 reported an issue with the plane's nose after departing Indianapolis International Airport shortly before 8 a.m.

The jet turned around and landed safely in Indianapolis.

There were 70 people on board the US Airways regional jet.
