Remains of skinned bear found in S. Ind. ditch

SEYMOUR, Ind. - Authorities say the remains of a skinned, decomposed bear have been found in a southern Indiana ditch.
Jackson County sheriff's Lt. Andy Wayman says a forensic specialist from the University of Indianapolis confirmed the remains are those of a bear that was most likely killed elsewhere, skinned and later dumped along a county road near Seymour.
The Seymour Tribune reports people walking in the area reported finding the remains Wednesday evening in the area about midway between Indianapolis and Louisville.
The remains were initially thought to be human, Indiana State Police said.
