INDIANAPOLIS -- People living in Indianapolis aren't very happy.

At least that’s what a recent report from WalletHub says.

Indianapolis came in at a “mostly miserable” 126 out of the 150 largest cities in the U.S., according to WalletHub’s “2017 Happiest Places to Live” poll. Nearby Fort Wayne came in at 100th.

This news probably isn’t very surprising for some – Indiana ranked 40th in WalletHub’s "2016 Happiest States in America" poll, and the state was ranked one of the “Most Miserable” states in America by 24/7 Wall Street last year.

So where do these polls get their statistics?

WalletHub based their findings on a number of factors including health, social connections, job satisfaction and financial well-being. But income doesn’t necessarily buy you happiness - the report says that wealth contributes to your happiness up to about $75,000 a year, after that, how much you make really doesn’t impact your contentment with life.

So where should you move if you want to be happy? According to their most recent poll, a number of California cities could give you a positivity boost. The state is home to eight out of the top 10 happiest cities.
