INDIANAPOLIS – Rexnord, a company on Indy's west side, released details on severance packages that will be given to employees as the company plans to move 350 jobs to Mexico in 2017. The company announced its intent to move in October.

The company is looking to eliminate health care for retired workers, pay workers a one-time payment of $500 and, as part of their severance package, give them one week of pay for every two years of service.

Talks between the union and Rexnord will resume in a couple of days, according to Call 6 Investigates.

Details of the package come the same day as President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence are scheduled to make an announcement regarding more than 700 Carrier jobs planned to stay in Indianapolis.

Carrier announced in early 2016 they would move more than 1,400 jobs to Mexico.
