INDIANAPOLIS - The case against three people accused in the deadly south side explosion has shifted its focus to security videos and insurance companies.
The Marion County Prosecutor's office is set to take Monserrate Shirley, her boyfriend Mark Ray Leonard and his brother Robert Lenoard to trial next June.
The three are accused of setting off an explosion last November in the Richmond Hill subdivision to reportedly cash in on an insurance policy, officials said.
Prosecutors are making security video from two south side restaurants available to the suspects’ lawyers. The restaurants include The Gas Light Inn and Dimitri’s Restaurant.
Prosecutors have declined to disclose what can be seen in those videos.
They have also demanded that at least 18 insurance companies provide the claims that homeowners submitted, including statements and any photographs that were taken.
The suspects were set to return to court Wednesday.
The Prosecutor’s office was expected to provide the suspects’ attorneys with finalized lab results from evidence taken from the explosion site.
