INDIANAPOLIS -  

The Indiana Broadcasters Association honored RTV6 with its Spectrum Award for Best Newscast.  This is the fourth year in a row the Spectrum Award recognized RTV6 as the best newscast in the Indianapolis market.

RTV6 also received three other awards, including Best General News story for a report by Call 6 Investigator Kara Kenney. 

Stacia Matthews'  and photographer Tom Triol's report on the heart transplant following the death of IMPD Officer David Moore won for Best Feature.

RTV6 received top honors in the Special Interest and Cultural Programming category for our reports behind the scenes of the college admission process at Butler University.  The reports were part of a larger documentary titled "The Envelope".

Former RTV6 reporters Barbara Boyd and Reid Duffy hosted the award ceremony Saturday night.

The Spectrum Awards, presented by the Indiana Broadcasters Association, recognizes outstanding achievement in broadcasting by Indiana radio and television stations.
