INDIANAPOLIS -- Salesforce marked Equal Pay Day by announcing it spent nearly $3 million this year to eliminate the difference in pay among its employees.

The company did the same last year when it audited employee pay to determine if gaps still existed.

This year, Salesforce says the scope of the equal pay assessment was increased by evaluated salaries as well as bonuses globally.

Salesforce also looked at differences in pay for gender, race and ethnicity in the U.S.
