INDIANAPOLIS - A wreck between a Washington Township school bus and three passenger cars drew emergency crews to a north-side intersection Monday morning.
Three teenagers from one of the passenger cars were in serious condition after being extricated from the crash.
The crash was reported about 6:45 a.m. Monday at the intersection 65th Street and Keystone Avenue.
Four people were taken to the hospital from a silver Chevy HHR -- three 17-year-old males in serious condition and driver Wendy Smith, 28. Smith was reported in good condition.
Driver of the two other cars involved were not injured. The bus driver was not injured, and no children were on the bus at the time of the crash.
Witnesses told investigators the bus turned left in front of the Chevy HHR, causing the crash.
Keystone Avenue's southbound traffic seemed to be running smoothly, but northbound Keystone and 65th Street traffic were both affected by the crash, with northbound traffic completely shut down.
Detour: Take 71st Street or 62nd Street west to Evanston Avenue, which can take you north or south to avoid the crash on Keystone. Depending on where you're coming from, both 71st and 65th connect back east to Keystone.
