BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A woman reported being attacked Tuesday morning while walking near the YMCA on the south side of Bloomington – the second time a woman has reported such an attack this month.
The Bloomington Herald-Times first reported the attack, which reportedly happened before noon on an outdoor walking path at the Monroe County YMCA on Highland Avenue.
Bloomington police told RTV6 the woman said she was pulled off the track by a man in a blue ski mask. The unidentified suspect then ran off towards a wooded area.
The woman was not seriously hurt in the attack.
The report is at least the second time a woman has said she was attacked on a Bloomington walking path this month.
On August 4, a woman called 911 saying she had been assaulted while running on Clear Creek Trail. The trail is about 3.5 miles away from the south side YMCA.

That victim told police she was jogging when a man came up behind her, walked her away from the trail and assaulted her.
After the alleged attack, the woman said the man fled.
In June, police released a sketch of a possible suspect in another attack – this time an abduction attempt along the B-Line Trail.
A woman reported a man grabbed her by the arms near the 132 mile marker and tried to wrestle her down the path. She was able to escape, at which point the suspect fled into the woods.
The description of the suspect appeared to match that of a serial flasher suspected in several incidents between mid-May and mid-June in Bloomington.

The man is suspected of flashing his genitals at women in and around homes and apartments just north of the IU campus. On several of those occasions, the man also chased after his intended victims.
As of Tuesday night, no arrests had been made in any of those cases. Anyone with information about any of the reported attacks is urged to contact Bloomington police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
