INDIANAPOLIS -- A semi cab caught on fire Tuesday morning, causing minor traffic delays on I-70 for a few hours.
The fire happened around 2 a.m., near the Shadeland Avenue exit of I-70, on Indianapolis' east side.
The fire started due to mechanical issues, police said.
The semi's trailer looked to be undamaged, but the cab was burned.
I-70 was closed for a couple hours, but has since reopened.
The driver got out of the semi safely.
